17 Agustus Pergi Belanja Yuk! = Let's Go Shopping on the 17th of August!
A commission I made for Metro Tanah Abang, a retail market in Jakarta! They wanted to post something on their Instagram for 17 August, Indonesia's Independence Day, and also to promote themselves. So, I drew out characters shopping in the market on the 17th. I made sure to add Indonesian elements to them, besides the very obvious flag. A couple of them are wearing red and white colours, and the others are wearing Batik, which is Indonesia's traditional clothing pattern. Also cats are everywhere here, so I added one in just for the fun of it. Anyway, I really like how this turned out, and I'm glad I took on the job, since I learned so much more about digital art when I made this.
